3. Enthusiasm
We love what we do! Our number one goal is to share with our students the same sense of fun and excitement that we experience in exploring the martial arts.

Our Roots

The roots of West Coast Martial Arts Academy started with the martial art of  Kempo.  Kempo was later blended when five masters came together and formed a mixed martial art called Kajukenbo.

Kajukenbo is a unique martial art style combining the techniques of (KA) Karate, (JU) Judo and Jujitsu, (KEN) Kenpo, and (BO) Boxing. It was founded in Hawaii in 1947 by Adriano Emperado, and is one of the most popular forms of self-defense practiced in the world today, because of its’ effectiveness and logical approach. It’s main philosophy is that every martial arts style has something to offer, and if one accepts that idea and trains accordingly, they will become a more well-rounded and, therefore, more effective martial artist.

Our Goal

West Coast Martial Arts Academy is dedicated to the premise that anyone who commits his or herself, can attain the rank of Black Belt. Our program is designed around that belief, and our instructors are ready to help each and every member accomplish that goal.

Currently West Coast Martial Arts Academy offers programs in which students can earn separate black belts levels in :

1. Kempo-Jiu Jitsu ” Kajukenbo”

2. Fu Jow Pai Tiger Claw Kung Fu,

3. Hung gar and Mi Jhong I

4. Tai Chi Chi Gong

Each of these arts hold true to our teaching philosophy which are:
1- It must work against someone bigger than me.
2- It must work against multiple attackers.
3- It must give me the reflexes and skills that improves my ability to survive an ambush attack.
